Neeman’s approximations in triangulated categories

Brief Introduction to Speaker:

张耀华,博士毕业于首都师范大学,导师是惠昌常教授, 博士后工作于清华大学,于2023年加入湖北大学。 研究方向为代数表示论与同调代数,主要从事导出范畴与三角范畴、倾斜与粘合理论等方面的研究。 研究成果发表在J. Algebra、Appl. Cat. Stru.、Theory Appl. Cat.、Frontiers of Mathematics 等知名数学杂志.

Abstract:In this talk, I will introduce two concepts, approximable triangulated category and completion of a triangulated category, which are defined by Amnon Neeman. These approximation theories are used to prove conjectures and understand known theorems, such as Bondal-Van den Bergh's Conjecture, Rouquier's Strong Generation Conjecture, Rickard’s theorem on derived equivalences, Serre’s GAGA theorem, Conjecture on the existence of bounded t-structures. Also, I will report our completed and ongoing works on the topic. This is a joint work with Yongliang Sun.
